This weekend was fantastic, and do you know why, friends? ‘Cause I did absolutely nothing. I mean it, come Friday at 4:30 pm, I signed off from my computer and didn’t even look it at until now. Probably not a healthy way of life for a student, haha, but I had a really long, stressful week and couldn’t even fathom looking at a piece of work. It was so nice to unplug from everything, and just get down and dirty with some good ol’ fashioned lazy days. Oh, one thing that did happen that might be of importance, I spent some time with the one and only Miles Teller!!!! :O :O :O
Happy February, folks! I hope this month brings you health, happiness and lots and lots of loooveeeee. You know, this month being THE month for looovvveeeee and all 😉
Today, I bring you my very FIRST YouTube video of 2015, and in a weird way, the very last of a certain phase of my channel. I’ve typically been focusing on more beauty things because that’s one of my greatest passions, but seeing as it’s 2015, I figure it’s time to switch things up and to pursue other things.
Oh, the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) awards, the winter formal of award show season. By that I mean, you’d obviously want to dress up if you were going to the SAGs, but it’s the more casual of the “Big 3” (Golden Globes, SAGs & Academy Awards). It’s not quite as formal and eventful as prom, it’s more like the good times and good laughs of a house party, with semi-casual evening wear thrown in for good measure.
So, did you catch the 21st Annual SAGs last night? I did and I have to say, it looked like a good night! It seemed that all of our celeb friends and crushes seemed to be having a blast, and I can’t really say I majorly disagree with any of the big winners. I do, however, disagree with the way that some of Hollywood’s leading ladies (and gents) were dressed! Oh my, did you SEE some of those looks!? Today, I’m going to walk you through some of my favourite looks, and some of the looks that if I see again, my eyeballs might actually pop out this time (and not in a good way, either).
Now that it’s 2015, I’ve been organizing my computer folders, putting things in order so that I can start the year with a fresh, clean state of mind. With all of this copying, pasting and deleting, though, I’ve had many a good chuckle at some old photos, some super old that I never fully organized, and some quite recent. I did promise to share some of the highlights of the year with you when I relaunched the site, so here we go!
Be honest, sometimes you just want to unplug. Especially as the stress of a new year ramps up, nothing would suit you or ease your mind more than some gentle, peaceful “me time.” These days, it can be difficult to truly unplug, or at least to do so without consequences. Whether it’s that report that you’re waiting for approval of, the email that you’re expecting from your professor or the text you’re fawning over from that cute Starbucks barista, we’re always ready to communicate and connect with others. While this is nice, because it’s a luxury that I know my grandparents didn’t experience, it’s also such a burden at times. Last night, however, I did just that; I disconnected from everyone and everything. I turned off my phone & all of my tech accoutrements, had a good bath and snuggled up with some good reading and fell asleep so happy and at peace. Everyone needs a night as such every once in a while, and I can tell you that I now feel rested, recuperated, rejuvenated & ready to face the rest of the week.
Anyway, what kind of blogger would I be if I didn’t show you what I used?! Thus, here’s a round-up of what products were used and my general thoughts on them, plus, some other funky things that I consider “essentials” for nights like these.
