Good afternoon, gang! Today’s #FashionFriday post is a very special one, so I’m super excited to share it with you! Why, you ask? It’s TWO outfits in one post, that’s why! 😀
Top: Bluenotes {out of stock; similar} // Skirt: Bluenotes // Purse: Garage Clothing {old; similar} // Flats: Designer Shoe Warehouse {old; similar} // Necklace: Charlotte Russe {old; similar} // Earrings: Forever 21 {old; similar}// Sunglasses: Ardene {old; similar}
I’ve been wearing more and more skirts as of late and this off-white lace skirt that I picked up recently is one of my absolute favourites. While I love the lace detail of this skirt, my favourite part about this ultra-feminine piece is its versatility! Paired with a comfy tee or tank and some flats, it’s a great outfit to wear to run errands, on a shopping trip or for lunch with your girlfriends, however, change just a few details and BAM! You have a completely different look…

Apologies for the MAJOR CASE of bra attack in this photo…don’t know what I was thinking; should have worn a strapless! #oops

Unfortunately, when I was younger, I had eczema and I scar very easily, therefore, my body is riddled with scars like this one on my leg. Yes, it’s ugly but there’s not much I can do. :/ Hopefully it doesn’t really bother you! 🙂

Special thanks for my friend Brooke for capturing these lovely photos! 🙂 ♥
See!? Isn’t it awesome!? Switching up my hairstyle and lip colour & adding heels and a statement-making purse to this look transforms it into something entirely different and to me, just that alone completely sells me on this skirt. I love this more refined, slightly fancier look, and I can totally see me wearing it on an evening out with friends, a date or even to a casual wedding! In general, I do not really gravitate towards a-line skirts, as I find they can look a little funny on my body shape and the front ends up past my knees while the back ends up…well, let’s just say I end up sharing much more than I’d like to in the back (*facepalm*). However, this skirt is perfect! The fit, the style and the comfort all work for me and I cannot wait to wear it again and see what else it works with! Plus, as if that weren’t enough to make you fall for this look, the whole outfit cost me less than $75, which is what we in the versatile look lover trade call a steal! That’s insane, because some pieces that can be used for multiple looks can quickly add up, but the most cringe-worthy items in these outfits were the shoes, and because they’re both from Designer Shoe Warehouse, it wasn’t even all that bad! I am head over heels (ha! No pun intended!) for both of these outfits, so much so that I’m on the lookout for other lace skirts that I can wear throughout the summer season, because not only would they would pair well with practically everything in my closet, but also, between the lovely texture, detailing, and feminine-chic look that lace creates, I cannot get enough. #itsFridayiminlove ♪♫♥
So, are you a fan of this kind of look? Do you wear skirts often? If so, are you a more “body-con” kind of girl or is an a-line shape more your thing? Do you like skirts with lots of details? Maybe a specific print? Or the complete opposite, simple & clean? You’ll have to let me know in the comments below, and please, no skirting the issue, friend (I’m sorry, I know that was terribly lame but it was right there…so it HAD to be done! ;))! 😀
Until next time, stay well, stay happy and stay glamorous! Enjoy the rest of your Friday!
Lots of love,
Siobhan ♥
p.s. – I picked up this beautiful skirt and simple, chic top recently…along with about 500 other items…hehe, oops! 🙂 Interested in seeing what else I bought? Watch my spring fashion haul below! 😀
