How are you? Long time no speak!
As you *may* have noticed, I am a bit of a makeup lover. I’ve loved it for a while and I don’t see an end coming soon to our loving and accepting relationship. :p
Anyways, because of this, I always have my eyes out for new collections & products, especially from MAC. Recently (yea, I’m a bit behind on my beauty blog reading…), I found out that MAC’s summer collection this year is called Temperature Rising, and it looks stellar!

To be honest, I am quite surprised about the products in this collection, because it seems so unusual for MAC to release a fairly neutral collection for summer. I’m used to the bright pinks, oranges, corals and turquoises, but this year, it’s all about the soft bronzes and taupes and light purples. And guess what!? I love it!
So, a long time ago I created a wishlist post for the “Shop MAC, Cook MAC” collection and you all seemed to really enjoy it, so I thought I’d do that kind of post again, but for this collection! Yay!

Before I begin, I just want to say a sort of disclaimer for everyone. A lot has changed in a year and 3 months, and I have a whole ton more makeup now. Some of these products are ones that I would get if I had a wad of cash burning a hole in my pocket and/or if I didn’t have products that are similar. I will highlight which of the products I will probably pass on and which ones I will most likely get.
Okay, enough of the boring stuff! Let’s get crackin’!
So, as aforementioned, I think this collection is beautiful, and I really appreciate that (for once) MAC chose to stay more neutral and dazzling, rather than bright and bold. I really like everything in the collection and think that it’s one that (again, for ONCE) works for everyone and not just a select few individuals.
There are a variety of products to choose from in this collection but what I want and/or what I am considering specifically is as follows:
1. Bare My Soul Eyeshadow Quad

Okay, so I put this first on the list because it was the item that caught my eye in promotional photos. I love bronzes and warm taupes on my eyes just as much as any other gal, but when I saw these four colours together, my head started spinning. It’s gorgeous! I think it’s the green in the quad, it makes it unique but it’s not anything crazy or something. In actuality, I very much doubt that I will put my fingers on this, because of it’s astronomical price. Like, reallly, MAC!? You want me to plop down $52 CAD (or $44 US, and I still don’t get why, considering it’s a Canadian company) of my hard-earned money on a quad that, yes, is beautiful, but is probably very similar to other colours I own or other products you’ve released in previous collections? CHYEA RIGHT!
In all seriousness, I la-la-love the colours in this but, as I said earlier, I have a lot of makeup and am content with “settling” for shades that are similar but not exactly the same as these ones.
2. All 4 of the Powerchrome Pencils

There are four shades of the new Powerchrome pencil: “Copper Strip” – copper bronze, “Life’s Luxury” – bronze brown, “Polished Jet” – grey sparkly black and “Rich Glance” – champagne beige. I can honestly say that I want them all! No, really, are you looking at them!? They are magnificent and beautiful. Plus, they are meant to last a long time on the lids and be so pigmented that you get good colour in a single swipe. Umm, yes please!
Now, I realize that wanting all 4 of these is a little extreme, but hear me out. This is a new product, I love shadow sticks and I adore all of these colours. Combine that with the amazing reviews they’ve been getting, and you are on to a winning combo! I usually keep it pretty simple with my makeup, but what I like most about these is it seems I can wear them on the days that I want to be subtle and low-key, AND I can also wear them as a base on the days I want to make a statement on my eyes.
When I snap back to reality, I know that I could realistically never get all four because
