AHHHHH! After a semi-long break, that feels so good to say!
Well, hello, there friend! Happy Thursday!
So, this article is about 15 days overdue but, you know what they say, better late than never! 🙂
If you read Volume 1 of The Colour Study, you know that my goal in this little experiment of mine is to switch up the aesthetic of my Instagram page on a monthly basis, as to fit a certain season, mood and maybe even evoke a certain type of emotion from my followers. The first month, October, I opted to start strong with a bold colour, orange, and if you remember, I mentioned that for the month of November, I wanted to choose a theme and colour that is a little bit softer and more neutral in tone. However, I didn’t compile a nice little overview for you of how it turned out, which is so not fair, or cool, especially if you don’t follow me on Instagram (which you totally should, it’s essentially my life at the moment, I love it SO much! ;))! And so, it is time for a #ColourStudy update (YAY!)! Let’s begin, shall we?? 🙂
It’s been a full month since I last hit the publish button on the ol’ bylaws, and I think it’s time for a comeback. You know, a resurgence, ressurection, renewal; a return, if you will. Yes, life is busy and hectic and crazy and mad, but isn’t that what makes it so awesome!? We would all be very boring people if we didn’t have plenty of things to occupy our days, and hey, they all make for lovely stories down the line. Yes, it’s true, you may think that doing mundane things like walking your dog or going to the grocery store are boring, simple things but have you ever considered this? What you do in your day may seem totally foreign to someone else, and vice versa, and that’s the fun part! To me, the chats I have with the security guard in my office every morning around 6 am seem totally normal, but to someone whom I’ve never met before, that may seem totally strange. Then, there’s also the simple truth of, sometimes your normal, almost mechanical routine could simply, not be. Your commute into work or school could take three times as long because of traffic. Or, say, you could bump into a childhood friend at the dry cleaners. Sure, it might be random, it might be odd, hey, it might even just be plain inconvenient, but at least it’s something different, something that you’ll probably share with friends and family and could even turn into an anecdote. My point is, life throws the unexpected at us everyday, and, speaking for myself, the busier we are, the more caught up in the “busyness” we get, but sometimes, it’s nice to be busy. Social interaction is something that is so important for us here on Earth, and so much of that interaction is us sharing stories from our day, and just think about it, we wouldn’t have any stories to tell if we weren’t busy at all, would we? 😉
With that being said, today I’m going to share a few photos, a few stories and a few things that have just made me happy in all of my busyness since I last wrote an article. I honestly, truly deem each and every one of my readers as one of my friends, and dude, it’s been a while, so this is going to be like one great, (hopefully not too) big catch-up. So, pull up a seat, grab a libation of your choice (I’m sippin’ on some iced coffee as I write this and it is delicioso!), and get comfy. Here we go! 🙂
Hi friends, how’s it going!? As I haven’t been around in a while, happy June! Can you believe we’re already SIX, almost seven months into 2015!? I can’t! I hope the month is treating you well so far and here’s to the final third of it being completely AWESOME! 😀
A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of attending a Pink Garden party organized by one of my favourite bloggers, Amanda of Pink The Town. It was quite the event, with tons of pink and other feminine details around every corner (hello, I was in my element!) and plenty of fun activities to keep everyone attending occupied for hours on end. Today, I’m going to show you how much fun you missed out on and if you’re in the Toronto area, why you should attend Amanda’s next event! 😉
Bom dia friends! I’m back home from my lovely week in Lisbon and of course, that means a week full of Lisbon and/or travel posts here on the bylaws (don’t worry, if those don’t suit your fancy, I’ll have other posts up throughout the week, as well! :D)! We had a marvellous time (despite me being very ill in the beginning) and I can honestly say that Lisbon is such a beautiful city, filled with super friendly people and gorgeous sights (not to mention that weather, though!). Can’t wait until I can return!
