My 4 NARS Lip Glosses. From top to bottom: Bad Education, Stella, Stolen Kisses, Ophelia. |
The other day I was thinking of the best products in my collection, and when it came to lip products, I instantly thought of my NARS lip glosses. They are hands down the best lip glosses I own. Not only are they super pigmented, but they are also long-wearing and have just the right amount of shine. When I think of good quality lip glosses, I think of exactly those features. As of now, I only have four but they are so fantastic, that one day, I plan on owning all that I can from their colour range.
Find out more on why I like these glosses and see swatches after the jump!

Despite the hefty price tag ($28 here in Canada, found at Sephora), these glosses are pure amazing. You get a fairly good amount of product in the tube, and I would say it wears for about 3 – 3.5 hours. One thing I do notice with a lot of high end lip glosses, is that they are very sheer. While some of the NARS glosses are sheer, most of them are very opaque, and without tons of layering (perfect!). Most have shimmer and some do not, but, in my opinion, this only adds to their awesomeness, as shimmer often means that your lips sparkle and shine, even more.
So, without further ado, it’s time for swatches!! Please keep in mind that I didn’t go back for more when I swatched these. I just swiped them once, using whatever product was on the wand.

Honestly, I absolutely adore these lip glosses and if my collection were to magically disappear (heaven forbid ;)), I would repurchase them in a heartbeat. I would literally give these a rating of 9.5/10, and they only lost half a point because of the smell (they do have a kind of a plasticy smell, not pleasant). However, if you can get over the horrible smell, which in the name of great quality I was willing to do, these glosses are thebomb.com. Also, I do want to note that after about a month or so, I stopped noticing the smell. Now, I don’t know if my nose had just gotten used to it or if the smell wears off over time, but either way, it works for me! 🙂
So, would you ever give one of these glosses a try?
Thanks for reading!
